As seen in the HIP August 2024 Newsletter

HIP is thrilled to announce that we will begin programming throughout the New York region during the 2024-2025 school year! Our expansion to New York is made possible because of generous funding from the New York-based Heckscher Foundation for Children. Our conversations with stakeholders in NY demonstrated an incredible need for HIP and a tremendous desire from school administrators and teachers to partner with us.

FUNDER FOCUS
HIP is truly grateful for the support of the Heckscher Foundation for Children!

Nessia Kushner, the foundation’s director of strategy, says:

“The Heckscher Foundation for Children is thrilled to bring HIP to New York City. With our funding, HIP will fill a major gap in health programming in NYC public schools, providing an innovative solution to educate and empower students on necessary health topics at a time when the mental health crises among underserved youth is only getting worse.”

NYC FACULTY SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT
“I’m excited about bringing HIP to our school because it empowers students to take charge of their health and well-being. By allowing students to run the program, we can foster leadership skills, promote peer engagement, and create a more relatable health initiative. This approach will not only enhance our school community’s health but also inspire students to advocate for healthy lifestyles throughout their lives.”
