We made a catalytic early-stage investment in Coursemojo’s tool, Mojo, which was built as a response to the daily struggle teachers face in trying to differentiate instruction for all the diverse learners in their classrooms. Coursemojo was started by Dacia Toll, founder of a top-performing charter network, Achievement First.
Mojo provides AI-powered, personalized learning support on a variety of text and writing assignments, leveraging the districts’ chosen ELA curriculum. We are supporting Mojo’s pilots in NYC district and charter middle schools as part of a broader national pilot across 15 districts and charter networks in 10+ states. Powered by a year of learning, iteration, and improvement, Coursemojo plans to sustainably scale Mojo across grade levels, curricula, and content areas to support millions of students annually.
