Queensborough Community College (QCC) and the New York State Wireless Association are partnering to bridge the digital divide by providing training and full-time employment in the telecommunications industry. Successful completers of the Broadband Telecommunications Technician Training Program are able to install, maintain and repair wired and wireless broadband networks. By working with a network of employers Queensborough is also able to modify the program in real-time to meet hiring demands; as such, QCC is offering additional training for cabling assembly, which opens doors for other job positions in the field.
