Heckscher is funding Grace Institute’s Healthcare Pathways initiative for young women ages 18–24 — primarily those at or below the poverty line without a four-year degree, helping to place participants in the healthcare administration
Grace has secured written hiring commitments from employers that represent documented pipelines with real volume and continuity, not letters of general support. Employers have gone further, co-designing curriculum with Grace, including a Healthcare Leadership module built with Weill Cornell, so that training maps directly to what these institutions hire for. Healthcare administration ranks among the city’s highest-demand, fastest-growing fields, where job-ready candidates remain persistently undersupplied.
