We launched Cause Strategy Partners (CSP) with its first funding, enabling it to build strategic partnerships with corporations in an effort to strengthen non-profit boards by offering earlier-career professionals an on-ramp to connect with board service. Its BoardLead program allows companies to offer employees and potential employees opportunities for non-profit work. Over 40 corporations and 1,400 nonprofits have since signed on and numerous foundations have added to CSP’s funding base. Those elected to serve as board members receive training through a unique 12-month CSP course and are supported to help troubleshoot early challenges that develop in their tenure as board members.
